In our last issue of 27 June, we announced that in September our special edition on nuclear waste would be published. Unfortunately, we have not succeeded in doing it. We will try to find other people outside the WISE staff to take over the work of the special edition.

At the end of August, Stuart Field started working for us as the new editor. After an introductory period he will take over the work from Robert Jan van den Berg.

Thanks to Robert! In this issue we want to thank Robert Burghardt for his work doing the layout of the News Communique. Under a German program for conscientious objectors he worked for us the last one and a half years. We thank him for his time, energy, inspiration and dedication to doing the layout the News Communique.
