Quote of the month: The Turkish government is looking for a good place to build a nuclear power plant. The envisaged area is at Akkuyu. In answer to questions about the nuclear waste problem, the minister of environment, M. Tokar, declared: "The total radioactive waste of all nuclear power plants in the world can be kept and dumped in one truck". (Silence, October 1997)
