Dear WISE Readers:
We are taking a summer break of a few weeks to take a much needed rest as well as to focus on fundraising so we can keep the News Communique coming. Any ideas on fundraising, by the way, would be most welcome! Also, we are looking for help with translation work from German language materials to English, as well as help with monitoring the German press, so if there are any of you out there who have the skills and can take the time, please let us hear from you on that too. Right now, Peter Diehl in the FRG is trying to cover German-language publications for us, with some backup help from Ingeborg Kleinhans in Sweden who is monitoring "die tageszeitung" (taz) for us, but it involves far too much work, especially as many important reports have been coming of both Germanies and it is important to have some this also translated. It would be helpful if whoever was doing the translating had access to a fax or to electronic mail (GreenNet or Maxcom), but as not all the information we need help with is urgent, that is not strictly necessary. At any rate, we will be back in the office on a regular basis on 20 August and would love to hear from you on this then!

So! We'll be seeing you in late August! 'Til then,
No Nukes!
