Dear WISE Readers,

This WISE News Communique was produced as a double issue in order for us to be able to include a present for all our readers: the enclosed booklet of "Nuclear Words: and Terms", by Miles Goldstick of our Stockholm relay. [not included in this website version] More than a dictionary, it includes definitions and charts that we in the Amsterdam relay have found invaluable as we have used it continuously through its various incarnations over the last few months. In fact, how we managed to produce the NC without something of the kind is hard to figure. At any rate, we hope you find it as useful as we have.

While we're here, we'd like to take the opportunity to thank you all for the help you've given us in producing the communiques. Not only have the articles and information you've passed on to us been of great help, but your feedback and explanations of how you actually use the information in the WISE NC is invaluable and makes it all worth while. So don't lose touch!

And have a wonderful (anti—nuclear) New Year! The WISE Editorial Group

Editing and Production: Tracey Hubbard, Ayn Lowry and Janusz Svoboda, with contributions from Martin Abma, Herman Damveld, Peter Diehl, Miles Goldstick and Olav Muurlink
